The production history gives us a useful starting point. Season 1 premiered in March 2024, while Season 2 did not arrive until September 2026. That is roughly a two-and-a-half-year gap, which is a long wait for viewers but understandable given the scale of the production.

The delay was tied to several factors, including the writing process, scheduling demands involving stars such as Theo James and Kaya Scodelario, and the amount of post-production needed to achieve the show’s polished cinematic look. The Gentlemen may be television, but it has never looked like a production that wants to behave like ordinary television.

Season 3, however, should have one major advantage. Netflix renewed the show before Season 2 even premiered, meaning the creative team did not have to sit around waiting for a renewal decision before planning the next chapter. The writing room and early production work can move forward much sooner.
