“Agony is the heartbeat; death is the crucible; renewal is the goal”. Understanding this as the compulsive rhythm of the universe we all inhabit, Asher identifies this classically informed perspective, tragic vision. He is deeply interested in identifying the affliction human life necessitates, and tracing the often surprising ways it can dramatically unfold. By pressing through suffering not from it can love and redemption become significant, transformative events in one’s life. One must lose their life to gain it. Tragedy provides the way.

The tagic play The Death of A Salesman sounds so familiar to me. I feel like I’ve read it before in an English class a few years ago.
