Writing Habits and Process

In the spirit of screenwriters sharing their writing process, I present to you John August (Big Fish, The Nines). In this video he talks about his writing habits along with how he turns off his inner critic, overcoming writers block, the best lesson learned, and gives advice for aspiring screenwriters. What I found interesting is that he has had 10 screenplays produced, but has written 50 total. 50! This seems to confirm the business for screenwriters perspective that as soon as a screenplay is written it’s time to write the next thing. It isn’t enough to have one or two passion scripts.
