Student Discounts

A stereotypical, multi-racial image of a teacher and student.
If you’re a college student (or educator) enrolled in a film, photography, or media program, there are several discounts available for you in order to help defray the prohibitive costs of the field you’re studying. Here is a brief list of companies that currently offer discounts on otherwise expensive products. If you know of some that have been omitted, please share below.
- Dynalite (homepage)
- Speedotron (homepage)
- Bogen (homepage) – It seems this offer expired Feb 28, however it is expected to be renewed soon.
- Hasselblad (homepage)
- Mac-On-Campus – a full featured photo store with discounts on hundreds of products from light meters to large format cameras.
- B&H Photo Video – the B&H catalog with choice discounts on some products like Sigma and Canon lenses among others.
- Tamron (homepage)
- For academic software, stores like JourneyEd and Academic Superstore should fill all your needs.
Take advantage of your .edu email and enrollment to save on your next equipment purchase.
