Screenwriting Strategies

Making Of has a large collection of behind-the-scenes from Avatar to 500 Days of Summer. They also have insights from directors, actors, and different departments like visual effects and electrical.  Director and writer Darren Aronofsky (Pi, Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain, The Wrestler) was asked his strategies for approaching the craft of screenwriting. What are your priorities as a writer, what is your writing process, whats most challenging about the writing process, and do you think about casting when you write? Mr. Aronofsky holds nothing back and thoughtfully reveals his process for when he sits down to write. Highly insightful, I hope you listen to his process, whether you’re a fan of his work or not.
