March is DIY Filmmaking Month

The powers-that-be (the fantastic MAKE Magazine among them) have declared that March is DIY Movie Making month. With digital cameras falling in price and rising in quality, the possibility (and probability) of anyone creating a backyard blockbuster is on the rise. To keep costs low and production value high, clever DIYers have figured out a myriad of methods to build expensive film equipment for (relatively) cheap.

Over the course of the month, we’ll be detailing clever DIY projects that will help jumpstart the budding director’s trip to Hollywood and beyond. Should PoetZero not be enough to cover your filmmaking fix, head on over to MAKE Magazine who will also be posting DIY highlights from around the web.
