Canon 550D/T2i Roundup
The Canon 550D/T2i, Canon’s latest addition to the VDSLR world, has hit store shelves and already shorts are popping up. Initial opinions and specifications of the camera indicated that it’s video functions are nearly identical to it’s older and more expensive brother, the Canon 7D. Judging from the content created thus far, which are primarily test films, the two cameras do seem to create very similar imagery. Here are some of the best samples:
At only $799 for the body, it seems Canon may have a winner on their hands. Brace yourself for thousands of student films with poorly chosen shutter speeds, jittery camera work, and unnecessarily shallow depth of field.
