2010: We Welcome You

If this is your first time to the PoetZero website we welcome you! For those who are regular visitors glad to see you again. A new year and decade is before us and what better way to start the new year than with a new and improved website. Enter PoetZero 2.0

PoetZero is a collection of storytellers committed to excellence in their craft by regularly producing new content. We have a saying around here that “Story is King”, and though we lack Hollywood’s tremendous resources, we aim to create compelling, engaging, and provocative stories. We primarily work within the ‘short-film’ format, but collectively we have produced documentaries, web-series, and commercials in addition to many other styles and projects.

In keeping with our mission statement, the site will be regularly updated with new content. This means that as we write the next dramatic thriller, or shoot the latest comedy, we will be writing articles we think helpful to anyone interested in films, filmmaking, or a myriad of related fields. Topics range from screenwriting to acting to film critiques to equipment reviews and far beyond. The storytellers at PoetZero are a diverse group of individuals and therefore the broad spectrum of interests are reflected.

It is worth nothing that ultimately we do all this for you, the audience. You are the reason we work tirelessly, why we dedicate immense portions of our time, and why we invest much of our resources to improving our craft. We wish not just to entertain you with a story, but to present it in such a way that you can freely engage your mind and heart with it. We hope to challenge your preconceived perspectives, arrest your restless heart, and present you a vision of beauty. For you to leave just a little bit different than when you first watched the story is our loftiest goal. After all, if a story cannot achieve that then what was the point?
